Michele Roger
Coming from French and Irish roots, Ms
Roger has a natural affinity and love for music of all sorts.
When she is not playing Celtic music, she is working
on contemporary music, as a contributing harpist, lyricist, and lead
drummer. For her own projects, Ms Roger is
writing and composing a Big Band CD, as a tribute to her late
Grandfather, who was an alto saxophone player. |
|
All proceeds from the sale of her
forthcoming Big Band CD will benefit the
Celtic Kettle Coffee House, a non-profit organization promoting
art, music, and literature throughout Michigan communities.
This program will be the foundation for their new scholarship
program for budding musicians and artists.
In her spare time, Ms Roger writes stories,
music and poetry, and has combined these for a children's summer
activity program, "Faerie Camp".
She is currently the band's Bodhran
player, Harpist and backup vocalist. |
